Our services

We treat children and young people up to the age of 21 for all kinds of mental health issues, behavioural problems and/or developmental disorders. This includes issues relating to current problems, emotional distress, anxiety, difficulties with social interaction, concentration difficulties, and learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. We also treat patients with concerns regarding autism spectrum disorder.

The aim of our work is to provide you, as parents, and your child or teenager with a diagnostic assessment and appropriate advice on support services and specific measures, and to refer you to outpatient psychotherapy or clinics where necessary. We also treat patients with concerns regarding autism spectrum disorder.

During an initial consultation with the parents or carers AND the child or young person, we gain an understanding of the issues at hand, the patient’s development to date and the family situation. We then decide whether, and if so what, further diagnostic tests are necessary at our practice and, if required, arrange further appointments.

The further diagnostic appointments usually take place without the child’s primary caregivers. During these sessions, we assess the child or young person’s psychological development and identify any physical, psychological or social factors that may be contributing to the issue. Depending on the specific concerns, we may use tests or questionnaires, or we may hold open sessions in which we employ age-appropriate methods. In addition, we also offer a diagnostic group programme for specific diagnostic issues.

Following the appointments, the findings are discussed by the team.

At the end of the treatment, we discuss the treatment outcomes with the parents/caregivers and/or children/young people. If necessary, a psychiatric diagnosis is made.
